Woosnam claims seniors tour victory in Cologne

Hi-Tec sponsored player Ian Woosnam has won the Cologne Senior Masters tournament after a final round six-under-par 66.

He finished two shots ahead of Chile's Angel Fernandez with the Welshman having posted 71 and 70 in the opening two rounds.

The win gave Woosnam his fourth European senior tour win and his first since winning the 2009 Irish Seniors Open at Ballybunion. "I played really, really well and I am delighted," said Woosnam. "I didn't make many mistakes out there either which was crucial and as a result I didn't put myself under too much pressure.
