Isle of Wight Walking Festival 2011

Isle of Wight Walking Festival 2011

2011's biggest and brightest UK walking festival – the Isle of Wight Walking Festival – took place between 7th and 22nd May. The Island, which has over 500 miles of well-maintained and signposted footpaths, around 30 miles of Heritage Coastline and of which more than half is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, allowed the award winning event to offer a full programme of around 300 walks for all ages and abilities!

On Saturday 7th May, an unusual and exciting start to the 13th Isle of Wight Walking Festival took place at the Seaview Wildlife Encounter – and included two guided walks around the Park and a celebrity launch at noon by Seaview Wildlife Encounter’s very own “Dippy the Penguin”!

Hi-Tec would like to thank those who took part in the various competitions to win a pair of walking boots in collaboration with the 2011 Isle of Wight Walking Festival, and would like to offer a huge congratulations to all the winners’!
