Thinsulate insulation

Thin, warm, light

What makes Thinsulate™ insulation so important to a cold weather boot?

Three words: thin, warm, light.

Thinsulate™ insulation works by trapping air molecules between you and the outside. The more air a material traps in a given space, the greater it’s insulating value. Because the Microfibers in Thinsulate™ insulation are far finer than other fibres, they trap more air in less space, which naturally makes it a better insulator.

The unique fibres of Thinsulate™ insulation are about ten times smaller than the fibres of other synthetic insulations, which means they’re much more efficient at trapping air and much more effective at keeping you warm.
