World Number 1 Squash star Vanessa Atkinson has signed a two year sponsorship agreement with HI-TEC Sports to endorse the brands range of Squash footwear.

The 29 year old Dutch star joins the brand having established herself as one of the games top performers. From breaking into the top 5 in 2003 Atkinson hasn't looked back since and with notable wins against her strongest rivals she has cemented her position at the top.

Making the announcement HI-TEC Chairman, and compatriot Frank van Wezel, was in ebullient mood; "HI-TEC has a long history of working with the best names in squash and Vanessa has long been on my list. We have worked hard to secure her signing and I am delighted she has agreed to join us in supporting the HI-TEC brand. As World Number 1 and World Champion in 2004 her successes are there for all to see and HI-TEC will be fully behind her ".

For her part Atkinson said; " I am delighted to be joining HI-TEC, they are brand synonymous with Squash and I am really looking forward to working with them. They have some exciting projects planned for the future and from what I have seen it looks fantastic, I cant wait to get involved."
