Hi-Tec to increase their support of Marie Curie Cancer Care for 2011
Marie Curie Cancer Care
• is dedicated to providing more and better care for patients and their families through the Marie Curie Nursing Service and its nine hospices.
• is committed to carrying out the research and innovation necessary to find out what the best possible care is and how best to provide it.
• will ensure measures are in place to give people the choice of place their end of life care and death through The Marie Curie Delivering Choice Programme
• is determined that the needs of the dying remain on the political agenda and will continue to campaign for patients to be able to die in their own homes in all four countries of the UK through its policy and public affairs work.
Marie Curie Cancer Care has been encouraging people to head to the great outdoors and raise money to support Marie Curie Nurses for several years. Whether it’s conquering some of the UK’s highest mountains, taking on the challenge of Yorkshire’s Three Peaks in one day, or hiking through picturesque countryside, you can do it all with Marie Curie Cancer Care. Taking on one of these challenges, and raising sponsorship, means that Marie Curie Cancer Care can continue providing nursing care and support to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes, when they need it most.
Hi-Tec are very proud to be associated with Marie Curie Cancer Care and as well supporting their work by offering a substantial discount on our products for everyone who participates in a Marie Curie Cancer Care Challenge in 2011, we're also offering some great prizes for participants of the new Walk Ten campaign!
For those people who want to get involved but need a challenge on a smaller scale, Marie Curie Cancer Care have developed a series of 10k evening walks this Summer in order to raise money for local Marie Curie Nurses. Check out their Facebook app or visit the website and click on your region to find the Walk Ten event nearest to you.
Hi-Tec are pleased to be able to support the two free prize draws open to all participants, one for everyone who banks over £50 within 2 weeks of their event, and one for everyone who fills out a post evaluation form. The prizes are for grabs are the Altitude IV NT Enviro WPi walking boots, which were developed in association with the National Trust.
Good luck to everyone who decides to take part this Summer!
