Extreme Energy 2011

Extreme Energy’s aim is to create unique and challenging weekend trail racing events that are totally focused on and built around the competitors.  They design races that will reach everyone from 5–70 years old, from beginner to expert, from walkers to runners to Ultra Endurance athletes!

All their events fall into two categories, one of which is ultra endurance events – multistage events hosted along some of the most famous trails in the UK with great camaraderie and a fun atmosphere!

The Extreme Energy Ultra Race Series incorporate four Ultra Events and gives runners or walkers the opportunity to cover 308 miles over 10 days over 4 weekends in 2011.  The 4 locations and events are:
• Pilgrim Challenge – North Downs Way –5th-6th February 2011 – 66 miles – 2 days
• Round The Island Challenge – Isle of Wight –25th-26th June 2011 – 70 miles – 2 days
• The Toad Challenge – The Thames Path –2nd-4th September 2011 – 90 miles – 3 days
• The Druid Challenge – The Ridgeway –11th-13th November 2011 – 82 miles – 3 days

Other additional Ultra Events include:
• The Pony Express – New Forest –30th April-1st May 2011 – 60 miles – 2 days
• The “Fan Dance” – Brecon Beacon – 21st-22nd May 2011 – 3 laps of approximately 15 miles and 4,500ft of climbing – 1 day
