I have done around 450 mixed terrain and mixed surface miles in these. the uppers are particularly good- secure yet flexible. The soles have worn, and the centre is thinning now, there is minor pilling on the ankle collar. The heel collar has a slight tear due... Read More to my not unlacing and jamming them on no doubt. Better known brands have done a lot worse in my hands. i am brand agnostic and tend to have several pairs of shoes on the go- these are a comfortable ride and the low heel collar means that the Achilles is not compromised, at least in my case. The soles are grippy, but not cleated, so like all non-trail shoes mud is not the best to run on. That said, wet grass (I run on the South Downs a lot) is a doddle- they squeak as they grip! The inside is finished well, they don't rub, and there are no rough edges- I can wear them with very thin or no socks- a cheapy cheap triathlon shoe when I buy my next pair. All in all a welcome find. They are not out and out the most durable shoes I have owned, but they are better than the entry level bigger brands I have tried in the past. One last point- the toe box is very roomy for my wide(ish) foot. Hard to find serious fault. So I haven't. Get them. Hide | |
