The National Trust is a charity and is completely independent of Government. They have over 3.6 million members and 55,000 volunteers. More than 14 million people visit their pay for entry properties, while an estimated 50 million visit their open air properties.  They protect and open to the public over 350 historic houses, gardens and ancient monuments.  They also look after forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, downs, moorland, islands, archaeological remains, castles, nature reserves, and villages - for ever, for everyone.

Hi-Tec and the National Trust have teamed up to create a new environmentally-friendly walking boot. Inspired by the nature the National Trust cares for, the boot has been designed with the product’s environmental impact in mind, including recycled materials and minimal chemicals normally found in footwear.

The boot – called the Altitude IV WPi NT Enviro – is the beginning of an important and significant journey for Hi-Tec; small, greener steps in the right direction. It also supports the National Trust in encouraging people to get out and enjoy the many thousands of acres of countryside and coastline it looks after across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
