Hi-Tec is looking for a Marketing Assistant

Job Description

Marketing assistant position for Hi-Tec Sports, one of SA's largest outdoor brands.

Position based in Cape Town.

The successful candidate will need to have people skills, be creative, innovative, vibrant, energetic, well groomed, pay attention to detail, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluent Afrikaans advantageous.

Must enjoy the outdoors and be passionate about the outdoor industry, They should be able to organize events, including liaising with organizers, setting up branding and presenting prizes.

Tasks will range from setting up at outdoor events, attending hikes and races, liaising with competition prize winners, putting together catalogues, assisting with ad placement in magazines, working on point of sale items for retail stores (ie posters, stands, etc), updating our website with news and products. A knowledge and familiarity of social media would be advantageous.

Must be prepared to work weekends when required.

Requirements

A love of the outdoors

Excellent communication skills in English- verbal and written (Afrikaans an advantage)

Creativity
Excellent computer skills
Copy writing skills
Ability to work in a team
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Flexibility and adaptable

Advantageous

Fluent Afrikaans

Experience in the Outdoor industry

Social Media experience

Personal Skills/Attributes

Good with people and able to work at all levels.
